Hans began his financial career in 1986 as a dealer in London before returning to New Zealand in 1990 to work as an Advisor with National Mutual Life. In 1999, he founded van der Wilt Financial Limited, which grew and merged over time to become known as Lifetime in 2019. In 2020, Hans established Blue Canoe, Financial Navigators, where he is dedicated to guiding clients on their financial journey.

Hans enjoys spending time with his partner Jane and their four children skiing, adventuring around New Zealand, and tackling DIY projects at their property in Days Bay.
